In Crop slippers, you’ll feel as relaxed at home as if you were barefoot.

A warm embrace for your feet

Their shape, like our Contact barefoot shoes, is designed to follow the natural shape of your feet. During development, we placed great emphasis on ensuring that the heel area is designed like a shoe and gently hug your feet and fit snugly.

Barefoot sole

The sole is made from 2.5 mm thick vulcanised rubber that is highly durable, very lightweight and flexible in all directions.

Natural sheep’s wool

The entire part in contact with your feet (upper and insole) is made from natural sheep’s wool with added jute. Crop slippers are therefore very comfortable and warm, as the micro-holes in the wool fibres create an optimal climate around your feet. They warm in winter and cool in summer. The natural materials are also reflected in their natural colour tones.

Materials

Upper: organic wool, jute
Sole: vulcanised rubber

Natural sheepskin wool slippers do not require cleaning. In fact, washing may damage the wool’s natural properties, which contribute to comfort, breathability, and overall well-being. It is usually sufficient to air them out when not in use.

Ordered items that are in stock are dispatched within two working days of placing the order. For items that are not in stock, the average lead time is extended by approximately three working days. If the delivery time is further extended, we will notify you accordingly.

The final shipping cost is shown before completing your purchase.

Natural sheep wool Crop slippers

At Proalp, we use natural sheep wool from Slovenian sheep to produce the linings and insoles for our shoes. Every step of the manufacturing process is carried out with special care to ensure the wool retains all its natural and beneficial properties.

Lanolin – Wool’s Natural Protector

A key feature of sheep wool is lanolin, a natural wool wax secreted by sheep’s sebaceous glands. Its composition is very similar to sebum, which is also secreted by human skin. Lanolin provides natural protection to wool – it prevents the development of microorganisms, repels dust mites, and creates a dry, healthy environment inside the shoe.

In the wool we use, lanolin is not an allergen, as all potentially allergenic lanolin alcohols are removed during the natural washing process.

Breathability and Moisture Regulation

One of wool’s greatest advantages is its hollow fiber structure. This natural property allows wool to regulate temperature and absorb excess moisture without creating a wet sensation. Simple airing is enough to refresh and clean the wool.

Natural benefits:

  • prevents excessive sweating
  • regulates foot temperature
  • anti-allergenic, antiseptic, and antifungal properties

provide comfort and a feeling of breathability with every step.

When developing our footwear, we place great importance on breathability and therefore use hydrophobic materials. With regular care, the shoes maintain their water-repellent properties, meaning they can withstand moisture in moderately wet conditions.
