Caring for your shoes helps maintain their pristine appearance, durability, and resistance to various weather conditions.
Here are some tips.
SMOOTH LEATHER SHOES:
- Occasionally, wipe them with a damp cloth, to which you can add a drop of mild dish soap.
- Once clean, apply a thin layer of colorless cream or grease, then gently rub it into the smooth leather with a dry cloth. When applying new cream to your shoes, test it on an inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface.
SUEDE AND NUBUCK SHOES:
- If they are dry and muddy, you can brush them with a dedicated brush.
- Occasionally, wipe them with a damp cloth, to which you can add a drop of mild dish soap.
- Once clean, spray them with a colorless waterproofing spray for shoes.
FOR ALL PROALPO SHOES, ALSO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
- Dry wet shoes in the air, in the shade, or indoors away from heating elements.
- Never soak them in water or wash them in a washing machine.
- If you wish, out of season, insert crumpled absorbent paper (such as newspaper) into them to help maintain the shoe’s shape.
How often should you clean and care for your shoes? Everyone has their own standards for this, but we recommend a few times per season.
