Even elegant sandals can offer all the benefits of barefoot footwear. The first among them are the Ravenna sandals. This is a model we developed at Proalp years ago with a different sole; here we’re presenting the barefoot version with a flat sole and a roomy toe box, so your toes are completely free.
PREMIUM MATERIALS
The entire upper, including the insole that’s in contact with the soles of our feet, is made from premium leather. The Ravenna sandal soles are made from microporous rubber.
MADE TRADITIONALLY WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF HANDCRAFTING
Ravenna sandals are fully stitched in our workshop in Tržič using traditional methods. Glue is used only when attaching the outsole to the sandal upper. This makes them extremely durable, so you can wear them comfortably for a long time.
FIT AND ADJUSTMENT
Because the upper covers less of the foot and connects to the sole over a smaller area, sandals are actually harder to shape than closed shoes and allow fewer individual adjustments. For now, Ravenna sandals are available as they are, roughly matching the medium width of our barefoot models. Based on the trials we ran during testing, they’re generally also comfortable for women who wear narrow and plus widths in other Proalp barefoot models. Individual adjustments to the length of the ankle straps are possible at no extra charge, even after you’ve purchased the sandals.
CARE
Care for them occasionally by applying a clear cream, or if they’re not smooth, spray them with a clear waterproofing spray. First, wipe them with a damp cloth and a little mild cleaner.
